Bo Derek, who became an international sex symbol after starring in the 1979 movie “10,” sizzles at age 58, thanks to a mostly vegetarian diet and an active lifestyle that does not include gym workouts. Derek has not had plastic surgery and said aging is “not for sissies.”

While Bo has long been hailed for her bombshell beauty, she takes a casual approach to her looks, but admitd aging is hard. “I realize how artificial it is, beauty,” Derek toldCBS News. “I realize that it doesn’t last forever. Aging is really hard, and it’s tough. Bette Davis was right: It’s not for sissies.”

Bo hasn’t had any plastic surgery on her face, but often gets criticized for not going under the knife because her face doesn’t have the wax-like Botoxed look many Hollywood celebrities sport.

“I get credit on one hand for not having had a facelift, and then on the other hand it’s, ‘Oh my God, why doesn’t she do something?’ So you’re just torn,” said Derek. “I just have to keep busy, have other interests, and try not to think about it.”

Bo, an animal lover who lives on a ranch with four horses, has maintained her willowy “Perfect 10” body with a mostly vegetarian (not vegan) diet and an active lifestyle that includes shoveling horse manure and doing other manual labor around her sprawling 110-acre ranch. While Derek does not do structured exercise, her daily chores keep her fit and active.

Another blonde beauty who’s vegetarian is supermodel Christie Brinkley, who credited a mostly plant-based diet and yoga workouts for her hot bikini body at 61.
